Message hitting primer very fast during wet sanding...way to soon than normal. I jumped to 800grit to give me a little more opportunity to get a nice clean surface. I went with the higher grit than that hit the primer exposed areas a bit more if need be. Didn't do the whole engine...just selective section. I know it is a little over the top in some respects, but it is what I felt comfortable with. I am in now way a professional painter, but I am very cautious when it comes to things like this. BTW- Went with the Aztec Red....I have the invoice with the paint code on it. I'll see if I can dig up what I used.
